My bedroom at the far corner of the house has not been getting internet connection for the past week and I was tad lazy to move my laptop, hence my not posting for a week or so. I sincerely apologise.
It's my sister's birthday today and I bought a cake for her this morning. A blueberry fresh cream of some sort. Not bad. On the note of birthdays and cakes, I also got a few slices at Secret Recipe a few days ago to share with my classmate group as to celebrate a birthday and a duo who was Raya-ing on the same day. Raya as in they've completed their extra fasting days.
Next week is Ili's birthday. She's a good friend (not in a literal way though), we've been close for almost three years. She's one of those with genius brains that have a knack for memorising and eats ice-cream everyday. She asks for comic books as a reward for getting straight A's every exam. Among the 3 known geniuses of the form. Second or third only to a chinese girl rumoured to have photographic memory even though she denies it.
School-wise, it has been tedious. Extra classes everyday. I am intermittently losing interest in Malay and History while I'm improving at all the other subjects. Also, a teacher busted me yesterday and I do say she was very unprofessional about it. It's like they love setting us kids up to be embarrassed by their juvenile crimes and mistakes. And these people are just too darn serious, about discipline, programs and everything. You'd get busted for wearing the wrong school clothes even. It's a high school for goodness sake. No one cares!
I played tennis this morning, for the first time in months. I think I need a change from my insanely prosaic life. I'm stuck in a rut. I go to school 9 hours a day. Watch movies 10 hours a week. I watched MIBIII, Snow White and the Huntsman, Dark Shadows. I even rewatch movies. Not sure what tennis in going to do for me but at least I'll get some well-needed exercise. ( Well this morning it gave me an uncomely looking tiny patch of loose skin due to friction with the racket grip. It looks like a bubble wrap bubble. And you know what you do to bubble wraps. )
Malaysians get Monday off in honour of Malaysia Day on Sunday. Funny, I don't recall ever hearing of Malaysia Day before. It sounds nonsensical but an extra holiday is always appreciated so Happy Malaysia Day, ya'll. Have a good day.
